DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
Arguments are bound to happen at some point in any relationship. Some of the worst arguments I've had and heard about start off as something small, trivial or misinterpreted, but evolve into something else more integral to the relationship or each other's feelings.

"Claire" is an extreme take on these sorts of miscommunications and the little cuts we dig into each other in relationships. Narratively, the film unfolds in a similar manner to the main characters' argument. What starts as a bloody thriller reveals itself to be something else more human.

While I certainly hope no viewer can relate to Claire's predicament too literally… As the credits roll, I hope my film is able to make viewers think a little bit about their own relationships and what makes them and their partner tick.
