DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
I find with each one of my films, I try to change it up so avoid repeating myself. I have certain sensibilities and themes that I like to lean towards, but I like to explore different perspectives and genres. After my last few films handled darker themes, I decided it was time to make something lighter and more fun. I wanted to tell a simple story about two lonely people and the new relationship that unfolds between them. In times when checking the news or scrolling through social media can quickly become overwhelming, with "Peaches", I wanted to create something that allows viewers to escape all the bad news for a few minutes, and if I'm lucky, make them smile by the time the credits roll.
